About This Position
G‑3 Chickadee—formerly part of Goodyear Chemical—is undergoing a major transformation. As a newly independent, Private Equity–backed organization, we are modernizing our infrastructure, implementing new systems (SAP, MES, cybersecurity), and building a strong operational foundation for continued growth.
We are seeking a Reliability Site Leader, reporting to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager, to provide reliability subject matter expertise across all chemical division locations to ensure business continuity and maintain reliable, consistent support for customers. Lead and develop the site reliability organization. This will be a strategic role in building core competencies, technical capabilities, and long-term organizational strength.
The Reliability Site Leader will implement and support division reliability data management systems, driving strategies that improve equipment availability and overall asset performance. This role will manage the site’s integrity program, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and sound engineering practices.
What You'll Do
- Set the strategic direction and oversee the Reliability Department, ensuring alignment with site goals and chemical division priorities. Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy designed to streamline planning processes, improve unit reliability, and enhance the effectiveness and execution of turnarounds and outages across the site
- Implement and sustain a comprehensive reliability program supported by meaningful KPIs to measure performance, drive continu9ous improvement, and ensure uninterrupted business continuity as a critical supplier to tire plants and additional external customers
- Manage and drive continuous improvement of the Mechanical Integrity Program, ensuring the ongoing inspection, assessment, and reliability of all piping, vessels, and structural assets across the facility
- Manage and oversee reliability spending within the annual planning process, ensuring alignment with site requirements, budget expectations, and organizational goals. Implement cost saving strategies that eliminate waste, optimize resource utilization, and improve reliability across the facility
- Provide input and support to the turnaround (TAR) and outage strategy and work processes, ensuring alignment with site reliability priorities and operational objectives. Deliver functional TAR expertise throughout preparation, execution, and startup, enabling safe, efficient, and highly reliable event performance
What You'll Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ reliability engineering management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead reliability programs, teams, and initiatives
- Minimum of 5 years' experience applying continuous improvement methodologies and establishing KPIs to measure/improve performance
Preferred
- CMRP, CRL
Our Ideal Candidate
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Integrity (MI) principles, including regulatory requirements and inspection practices for tanks, vessels, and other pressure containing equipment
- Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) concepts, with demonstrated application in improving asset performance
- Working knowledge of turnaround (TAR) planning and execution processes, including preparation, and scheduling
- Proven ability to lead and direct cross-functional teams to achieve reliability objectives, meet timelines, and resolve complex equipment or process issues
