Remote Sr. Data Engineer
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a crucial part in architecting, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem. You will collaborate directly with clients to enhance their data infrastructures, ensuring successful data modernization and analytics initiatives. Additionally, your expertise will aid in mentoring future talent and promoting best practices in the field, making a significant impact on both the organization and its clients.
Accountabilities- Architect, develop, and deploy robust, scalable data solutions using Azure tools.
- Design and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Build and manage modern data architectures, including data lakes and warehouses.
- Implement and automate data ingestion and transformation processes.
- Lead the development of analytics solutions using Power BI and Fabric.
- Advise on data governance and security best practices.
- Translate business requirements into actionable data architectures.
- Mentor team members on technical standards and best practices.
- Create high-quality documentation and support business development activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in designing and deploying data solutions in Azure and Databricks.
- Strong skills in Python, SQL, PySpark, and modern ETL practices.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure tools such as Synapse, Data Factory, and Power BI.
- Experience with data modeling and cloud-based storage solutions.
- Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
