Mechanical Technician II / Crane Inspection Technician
Industrial Facility
$30–$35/hr. (includes shift differential) + OT Available
2nd Shift
1-Year Contract (with potential to renew)

You’ll focus on inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining critical equipment while helping ensure everything meets OSHA and safety standards.
A Day in the Life- Start your shift reviewing inspection schedules and priorities
- Perform detailed inspections on overhead cranes and hoists
- Identify wear, damage, or safety concerns and document findings
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on motors, gearboxes, and lifting systems
- Complete OSHA checklists and ensure compliance with ASME B30 standards
- Make minor repairs or recommend corrective actions
- Work with maintenance teams to keep equipment running safely
- Wrap up by logging inspections and maintenance activity
- Overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment
- Motors, gearboxes, brakes, and drive systems
- Wire ropes, chains, hooks, and rigging components
- Industrial mechanical systems (pumps, conveyors, compressors)
Tools & Equipment:
- Inspection tools and OSHA checklists
- Multimeters and diagnostic tools
- Hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches
- CMMS/work order systems
- Perform scheduled crane and hoist inspections
- Ensure equipment meets OSHA and ASME B30 safety standards
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs
- Document inspections, deficiencies, and completed work
- Support equipment reliability and safe operations
- 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience
- Hands-on crane/hoist inspection experience (required)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems (motors, gearboxes, etc.)
- Ability to identify safety issues and follow OSHA standards
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field
- Experience with tools, diagnostics, and maintenance systems
- Industrial setting with hands-on, physical work
- Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs
- Safety-first environment (PPE required)
