Trailer Technician at Hirschbach Motor Lines – Conklin, New York

Hirschbach Motor Lines — a leader in refrigerated freight with nearly 90 years of excellence — is looking for motivated Tractor Technicians to join a team that values quality work, growth, and technician pride.

• Up to $36.07/hour (based on experience)
• Paid weekly for your convenience

• Monday - Friday day shift (no nights or weekends!)
• 3 weeks of PTO starting DAY ONE

• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on trailer refrigeration units

• Diagnose and fix issues on 2019-2024 Carrier and 2024 ThermoKing units

• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems

• Repair or replace compressors, evaporators, condensers, fans, hoses, belts, and electronic controls

• Ensure all work meets or exceeds manufacturer specs and company standards

• Complete accurate maintenance and repair documentation

• Manage parts and supply inventory for the shop

• And take on other duties as assigned

• 1-2+ years' experience in fleet maintenance or recent tech school graduate
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Strongly Preferred

• Certifications (608 certification)
• ThermoKing and/or Carrier factory certifications are a big plus
• Solid understanding of refrigeration operation and microprocessor control systems
• Strong English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing) for effective daily teamwork.
