Job Overview.

The Asbestos Abatement Supervisor is responsible for overseeing field crews during asbestos and hazardous material removal projects. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Supervisor serves as the on-site leader, providing direction, problem-solving, and quality control to maintain ERI’s high standards of safety and service.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Lead and supervise asbestos abatement crews on job sites.
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety protocols.
  • Coordinate project logistics, including equipment, materials, and waste disposal.
  • Maintain accurate project records, logs, and daily reports.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding progress, challenges, and needs.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to support skill development and performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues on site to minimize delays and ensure quality results.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Valid Asbestos Supervisor Certification (per state/federal requirements).
  • 3+ years of asbestos abatement or environmental remediation experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of abatement regulations, safety practices, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret project specifications and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must pass medical surveillance, drug screening, and fit testing requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
