Position Summary:
PLEASE NOTE: This position is for the UNM Gallup Branch, locatedin Gallup, NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, NM.

The University of New Mexico-Gallup invites applicationsfor a Lecturer I or II within the Construction Technology program. We are one of four branch community colleges ofthe University of New Mexico and serve approximately 2200 students. Located in Gallup NM, approximately 138 mileswest of Albuquerque, UNM-Gallup is situated in the Four Corners region and nearthe Navajo Nation, Zuni Pueblo and Hopi Reservation. The city of Gallup has a population of 22,000and the surrounding areas provide an abundance of outdoor recreationalactivities, various museums and extraordinary cultural vibrancy, whilemaintaining a small-town feel.

UNM-Gallup serves a hugely diverse student populationwith 100+ full time and part-time faculty members. We are fully accredited by the HigherLearning Commission offering Associate degrees, selected Bachelor's degrees,Career Technical Education certificate programs, and adult basic education (ABE/GED),workforce training and personal enrichment courses. UNM-Gallup serves multiple high schoolpopulations including McKinley Academy, Middle College High School and theCenter for Career and Technical Education.

Lecturers at UNM-G have careeradvancement opportunities that are outlined in the UNM Faculty Handbook andfaculty union collective bargaining agreement.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a 27-credithour course load annually in the area of Construction Technology, maintain anactive scholarship/service record (as defined by the UA-UNM CBA), participatein monthly Division meetings and execute other relevant duties as agreed uponin conjunction with the division chair in an annual faculty-chairagreement. In addition, the selected candidate will be expected to demonstrate a commitment todiversity, equity, and inclusion through actively practicing inclusive behaviorand proactively managing bias.

• Certifications/Industry-recognized credentials in construction-related technologies (i.e., NCCER or OSHA)
• A minimum of fiveyears' work experience in the construction trade
