QA Inspector at OPTIMUS STEEL LLC – Vidor, Texas

Basic Function:

To test and inspect high and low carbon steel wire rod and rebar.

Tools & Equipment:

Tensile machines, micrometer, bending machine, rule, grinder, punch, hammer, gauges, calipers, scales, bolt cutters, upset machine, cut-off machine, forms, pens, computer terminal, measuring tape, etc.

Qualifications:

This job requires a minimum of two years’ experience in a lab testing environment with an associate’s degree in Metallography or equivalent is preferred. SEM experience desired.

The incumbent must be able to work in a controlled laboratory environment and have proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Office programs. SAP experience is a plus.
