Description:
We are looking for a compassionate individual with an outstanding work ethic, ability to perform clinical tasks, and experience in procedure oriented specialties, especially in Gynecology. We are seeking a full time certified Medical assistant with experience, in our boutique style Gynecology only practice.

Certified Medical Assistant Essential Functions:
- Record patients’ medical history, vital statistics, medications etc in electronic medical records.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examination, keeping the rooms clean and ready for physician to see patients.
- Clean and sterilize medical equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control.
- Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a physician.
- Perform general office duties such as answering the telephones, scheduling appointments, scanning patient forms, and performing front desk duties for cross coverage when needed.
- Inventory medical supplies or equipment and refill so treatment rooms are stocked.
- Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling patient’s medical records and information.
- Follow and adhere to HIPPA regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Competencies (medical terminology Knowledge and Skills )
- Knowledge of the healthcare field and medical specialty.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates excellent professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people at all levels of the organization.
- Detail oriented with strong follow-up.
Certified Medical Assistant Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or above
- Active and Current Medical Assistant Certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as patient charts, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively and clearly to patients and their family members.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; fax machines and internet software.
- Must be trained and able to use electronic health records. Prior experience with ECW is preferred.
