Position Summary:
The Office of Admissions at Arkansas State University is seeking a dynamic and organized Marketing Coordinator to assist with undergraduate recruitment as a key member of the University's Recruitment Team. This position provides broad support for the overall enrollment marketing strategy, including multi-channel campaign execution, CRM communications management, community engagement support, and content creation.
This role shares core competencies with the Admissions Coordinator for Community Engagement and is designed to provide operational continuity across both positions during absences or vacancies. The coordinator reports to the Senior Associate Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Marketing Campaign Execution (50%)
Community Engagement and Outreach Support (20%)
Content and Communications (30%)
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write and edit effective enrollment marketing copy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
• Proficiency with email marketing and CRM platforms; including campaign builds, audience segmentation, and suppression logic.
• Familiarity with social media platforms for professional and paid advertising use.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse population of students, staff, and community stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Familiarity with higher education enrollment processes and student recruitment preferred.
General Days/Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Other:
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned bachelor's degree.
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements upon approval of the qualifications review committee.

- Write, build, and schedule email and text message campaigns in Slate CRM to engage prospective and admitted student audiences across the enrollment funnel.
- Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of short- and long-term marketing campaigns across email, print, SMS, and social media.
- Execute paid social media advertising to support recruitment goals as part of the broader marketing mix.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate production and delivery of digital and physical marketing materials.
- Analyze campaign results to help optimize placement, budget, and audience segmentation.
- Support ongoing analysis of the undergraduate enrollment funnel and collaborate with recruitment and marketing leadership to adjust campaigns and communication cadence based on performance trends.
Community Engagement and Outreach Support (20%)
- Serve as a backup liaison between the Marketing and Communications unit and other Enrollment Management departments when the Admissions Coordinator for Community Engagement is unavailable.
- Support event communications for enrollment management, including registration promotion and student interest campaigns.
- Assist with marketing support at high school visits, college fairs, and community outreach events as needed.
- Help maintain messaging consistency across prospective student populations, including first-generation, transfer, and diverse student audiences.
Content and Communications (30%)
- Supervise and manage student content creators on departmental content and event-related projects.
- Create and edit content for email, social media, and print materials aligned with A-State brand standards.
- Assist in coordinating interview sessions, video and photo shoots, and content-gathering meetings.
- Capture photos and video at events for later use, which may require work after hours or on weekends.
