Hyperloop Market - Market Associate at The Boring Company – Bastrop, Texas

The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.
The Boring company is working on revolutionizing products and part of this vision is our onsite Market, The Boring Bodega, that is open to employees as well as the general public. The Boring Bodega offers fresh food, groceries, onsite barbershop, and more! We are looking for additional part-time Market Associates who are able to work 30 hours per week.
Requirements:

• You play a major role in how our customers feel when they leave the store. You might be the first, last, and sometimes only associate a customer interacts with. That's why it's so important to smile, greet, and thank every customer
• The pace can be intense, especially in the evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons There are times when you must juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping customers: scan items, explain a price, bag items properly, count cash back, and keep your area clean-you get the idea!
• It takes a special person who is positive, can multi-task and has a passion for customer service and helping others

Basic Qualifications

• Smile, greet, and thank customers with a positive attitude
• Stand for long periods of time while checking out customers quickly and accurately
• Keep your area clean and presentable
• Answer customer questions and help them with their needs
• Be available to assist associates across the store as needed

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in a retail, market, restaurant, or hospitality space
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to efficiently multitask and work within timelines
• Ability to work independently, with little to no oversight, and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
