Job Title: Quality Control Engineer, Associate

Location: Monroe, CT

Position Type: Full-Time

Biomerics offers Swiss machining with integrated laser cutting on precision medical tubing. Laser/Swiss machining enables features to be machined and laser cut in the same process. Our core competency lies in smaller medical components, produced with high accuracy and repeatability. Traditional Swiss screw machining capability is also available for rapid prototyping and production.

In addition, Biomerics utilizes 5 axis milling machines capable of producing complex finished components, while holding extremely tight tolerances.

Job Description:

The Associate Quality Control Engineer will support the Quality team by assisting with inspection and quality control activities. Learn to apply quality standards and procedures, follow guidelines to perform inspections, and help ensure products meet customer and internal requirements. Work closely with supervisors and production teams while gaining experience in quality methods and tools.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in performing inspections of parts and assemblies according to set procedures

· Help train and support production staff on basic inspection equipment use

· Collect and record inspection and quality data under supervision

· Follow established guidelines to identify and report product issues

· Work with Quality and Production teams to support daily operations and quality improvements

· Assist with qualification activities for parts and assemblies

· Support basic metrology tasks, including using measurement tools and fixtures

· Maintain consistent attendance and follow safety protocols

· Complete other duties as assigned by Quality leadership

Requirements:

Requirements:

· Engineering bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years quality experience, or Associate degree with 3+ years quality experience, or Minimum 5 years quality experience

· Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Injection Molding, Metal Stamping, and Assembly

· Willingness to learn and apply quality inspection and continuous improvement techniques

· Good communication skills for interacting with team members and supervisors

· Ability to follow instructions and established procedures accurately

· Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to maintain regular attendance

Preferred Skills / Training (can be developed on the job):

· Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 standards

· Basic knowledge of quality tools like PPAP, APQP, CAPA

· Exposure to common quality documents (Control Plans, PFMEA, Work Instructions)

· Introductory understanding of measurement tools and inspection equipment

· Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· Interest in learning statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools
