This role is central to enabling smooth and compliant business operations through effective contract governance and stakeholder collaboration. You will manage the full lifecycle of commercial agreements, ensuring that client and vendor contracts are accurately drafted, negotiated, executed, and maintained in alignment with internal policies and business objectives. The position requires close interaction with cross-functional teams, providing visibility into contract status, risks, and obligations while ensuring timely execution. You will play a key role in supporting business teams by structuring agreements that balance commercial needs with legal and operational standards. The environment is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative, requiring strong judgment and proactive problem-solving. - Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including MSAs, consulting agreements, independent contractor agreements, NDAs, work orders, and amendments, escalating complex matters when needed.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including negotiation, execution, renewal, extension, and closeout, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
- Ensure adherence to company contracting policies, procedures, and governance frameworks across all agreements.
- Communicate contract status, risks, and updates clearly to business stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Track contract obligations, expirations, and deliverables to ensure timely follow-through and compliance.
- Maintain and improve contract management systems, files, and databases for accuracy and accessibility.
- Support the development and optimization of contracting processes, policies, and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and take initiative to enhance contract lifecycle management practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, business, and operational teams across multiple levels of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary qualification in law, business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, ideally within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or similarly regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of contract management principles and commercial legal frameworks.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while handling time-sensitive matters.
- Proven ability to work independently with good judgment and proactive decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
