About This Position

Description: Description

Our Rheumatology Physicians examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions. The Physician will take patient histories, request diagnostic tests, makes diagnoses, prescribes treatment, administers vaccinations, performs follow-up examinations, and additionally, will educates patients in disease prevention and health maintenance. The Physician will supervise the clinical activities of allied health professionals and advanced practice professionals.

Requirements:

Positions Requirements and Duties:

  • Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Order, perform, and interpret tests and examine records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patient's condition.
  • Work as part of a clinical team of technicians, advanced practice professionals, and other physicians in conclusion making around tests, diagnoses and treatment options for patients with illnesses or diseases.
  • Monitor patient conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
  • Outpatient only clinic that provides care to Adult Rheumatology patients and participates in research
  • Diagnose and treat conditions in area of Rheumatology
  • Oversee the clinical activities of a care team that may consist of midlevel providers, and health professionals.
  • Provide support and effort to any other duties assigned
  • Must be board certified in Rheumatology and have an active Texas Medical License.
