About This Position
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic History Instructor with a special emphasis on integrating technology skills to teach scholars about the evolution of specific careers in fields such as engineering, healthcare, technology, and more. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history and a keen interest in leveraging technology to enhance students' learning experiences. In addition, the instructor should be adept at incorporating character building, self-identification, and modification skills into the curriculum to foster holistic development among students. Proficiency in web development is essential to create an engaging and interactive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and deliver engaging history lessons that focus on the evolution of specific careers in engineering, healthcare, technology, and other relevant fields.
- Utilize technology tools and resources to enhance historical lessons, making them interactive and engaging for scholars.
- Integrate character building, self-identification, and behavior modification skills into the curriculum to promote personal growth and development among students.
- Incorporate web development skills to create multimedia content and interactive platforms that support historical learning objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues, industry professionals, and experts to design project-based learning opportunities that connect historical events with real-world applications in various careers.
- Implement a student-centered approach that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among scholars.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in educational technology and history curriculum development to continuously enhance teaching methodologies and student learning outcomes.
2. Classroom Management:
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation.
- Establish clear expectations for behavior and academic performance and enforce consistent classroom rules and routines.
- Manage student behavior effectively, address conflicts, and provide positive reinforcement.
- Maintain an organized and conducive learning environment.
3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
- Assess student progress regularly using a variety of assessment tools and techniques.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development.
- Use assessment data to inform instructional decisions and differentiate instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to analyze student performance data and identify strategies for improvement.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
- Establish effective communication channels with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.
- Regularly communicate student progress, behavioral concerns, and academic achievements to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas, thoughts, opinions with openness to understand othrswhile being understood
- Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant field (master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching license or certification.
- Knowledge of curriculum standards and instructional best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Creative Innovative and unafraid to change.
- Ability to be flexible and pivot when necessary
- Strong technology skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching and learning.
