CMR - Noxious Weed Technician at Crazy Mountain Ranch – Clyde Park, Montana

We are currently hiring for the position of Noxious Weed Technician for our 2026 summer season. The Noxious Weed Technician position is responsible for assisting in the mapping, eradication, and management of invasive weed species across Crazy Mountain Ranch property. The Technicians work with pesticides, small machinery, spray equipment, and hand tools to aid in the maintenance of the invasive weed species. While not working directly with the management of noxious and invasive weeds the Technicians work with the erosion control labor crews and assist as needed.

This is a Summer Seasonal position and our summer season runs May 15th - October 31st

Qualified candidates must have:

• High school diploma, GED or vocational training; Experience in Land rehabilitation/Forestry/ Agriculture, preferred, but not required
• Be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions for 10+ hours
• Ability to work at high elevations routinely
• Familiarity and ability to operate tools/machinery to perform spray work such as: spray pack, shovel, rake, axe, brushing shears, weed trimmers, ATVs and other trail maintenance tools at an intermediate to expert level
• Current CPR and First Aid certification; OR willingness to obtain certification during season
• Good verbal communications skills are essential; ability to follow oral instructions
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs+
