About This Position
We are seeking a passionate and skilled full-time High School English Teacher to join our faculty in August 2026. This educator will teach literature and foundational high school English courses while helping students grow academically, personally, and, spiritually within our Christian, faith-based environment. The ideal candidate loves working with high school students, loves literature, is passionate about helping students develop critical thinking and communication skills. enjoys helping high school students develop strong written and verbal skills, is committed to educational excellence, and embraces our Portrait of a Teacher and Five Mindsets of Charity, Growth, Positivity, Professionalism, and Team.
Responsibilities include
*Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in literature, writing, grammar, and analysis
*Foster a love of reading while developing students’ writing, discussion, and critical thinking skills
*Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
*Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
*Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that supports learning
*Communicate effectively with parents, students, and colleagues
*Collaborate with faculty on curriculum planning and school initiatives
(Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development
Assignment Details
*26/27 school year
*Full-time
*Six class periods, two prep periods, plus lunch
Qualifications
*Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in English or related field required
*Ability to obtain and maintain an Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) teacher certification
*Strong content knowledge in literature and composition
*Experience teaching high school English preferred
*Ability to integrate technology into instruction
*Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
*State teaching licenses preferred, but not required
