About This Position
Summary of Primary Functions: The Procurement Agent is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required to support industrial projects and ongoing operations. Working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment, this role partners closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Field Operations to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, compliance, and supplier performance standards.

This position plays a critical role in supporting complex installations, manufacturing, and engineering services similar to those delivered by Beck & Pollitzer USA.

- Source, evaluate, and procure materials, components, equipment, and services to meet project and operational requirementsIssue purchase orders, review specifications, drawings, and scope of work to ensure accuracy and completenessNegotiate pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers and subcontractors Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and continuous improvementCoordinate closely with Engineering, Project Managers, and Site Teams to align procurement activities with project timelinesTrack and manage purchase order status, expediting materials as needed to support critical project milestonesEnsure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulatory standardsSupport cost control initiatives by identifying savings opportunities and alternative sourcing strategiesResolve pricing, delivery, quality, and invoice discrepancies with suppliersMaintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reporting within ERP or procurement systemsAssist with supplier audits, performance reviews, and approved vendor management
Experience, Qualifications and Key Competencies Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred3–7 years of procurement or purchasing experience, ideally within industrial services, engineering, construction, or manufacturingStrong understanding of project-based procurement and supply chain processesExperience sourcing mechanical, electrical, industrial, or engineered materials is highly desirableProficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentStrong analytical skills and attention to detailKnowledge of industrial materials, fabrication, installation, or automation environmentsFamiliarity with contract terms and conditions (commercial and technical)Understanding of logistics, shipping, and customs considerations (a plus)Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teamsProactive, results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
