About This Position
Open to Texas residents ONLY.
The Coordinator for Care Management Operations remotely provides centralized, non-clinical, non-patient-facing administrative and operational support to hospital Care Management departments. This role supports reporting, audits, authorizations, referrals, denials, and compliance tracking through standardized workflows under the direction of licensed Care Management leadership.
This position is fully remote position. The role does not involve bedside care, patient or family interaction, or clinical decision-making. Responsibilities are protocol-driven and designed to support hospital throughput, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across a 7-day care management model.
SPECIFIC SKILLS NEEDED
• Strong administrative and clerical skills in a healthcare environment
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) and utilization management platforms
• Advanced data entry and documentation accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience using SharePoint or similar document management systems
• Strong written communication and professional email skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• High attention to detail and compliance standards
• Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Required:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of two (2) years of administrative, clerical, or operational experience
• Experience working with confidential or regulated information
• Reliable high-speed internet and ability to maintain a secure remote workspace
Preferred:
• Experience in healthcare, care management, utilization management, or insurance operations.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care workflows.
• Experience with authorizations, denials, appeals, or post-acute referrals.
• Prior remote healthcare operations experience.
• Experience supporting multi-campus or high-volume hospital environments.
