Overview

The Production Supervisor at our Cartago, Costa Rica facility is a key leader responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring high-quality output, safe working conditions, and efficient use of resources. This role manages a team of technical assistants and line leaders, coordinating production activities while driving continuous improvement to enhance utilization and efficiency.

Acting as the primary link between the production floor and management, the Production Supervisor monitors schedules, resolves issues promptly, and maintains alignment across departments such as procurement, maintenance, quality, and engineering. Success in this position requires strong problemsolving skills, the ability to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, implement effective solutions, and foster a culture of teamwork, training, and operational excellence.



Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate production teams to follow detailed work instructions, ensuring safe operations, consistent product quality, and adherence to manufacturing standards.
  • Oversee the assembly of custom products to meet diverse global customer requirements, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and ontime delivery.
  • Manage materials and inventory transactions within the inventory management system, maintaining accuracy, traceability, and optimal material flow.
  • Ensure proper upkeep, calibration, and maintenance of all production equipment and facilities during the shift, coordinating promptly with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate closely with Production Leads, supply chain, and distribution teams to complete customer orders and maintain seamless endtoend production flow.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor team members and Production Leads, fostering skill advancement, high performance, and longterm career growth within the organization.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Operations.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing environments; 2+ years in production or leadership roles preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing others.
  • Proven problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Ability to work the 2nd shift: 2pm to 10pm with flexibility to work 3rd shifts as required.
  • Advanced math proficiency and strong computer skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Knowledge of NEC Electrical Code compliance is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience with projectmanagement tasks is a plus.
