About This Position
The Service Advisor is the primary liaison between our riders and the Service Department. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by clearly communicating service needs, coordinating repairs, and ensuring every Harley leaves the shop ready for the road. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and passionate about motorcycles and the Harley-Davidson lifestyle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming dealership experience
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service needs
• Write clear, detailed repair orders and explain recommended services and maintenance
• Coordinate workflow between customers, technicians, and parts department
• Provide accurate estimates for labor, parts, and timelines
• Keep customers informed of repair status and obtain approvals for additional work
• Promote scheduled maintenance, service packages, and Harley-Davidson accessories when appropriate
• Ensure completed work meets quality standards before delivery
• Handle payments, warranty claims, and service documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized service reception area
• Follow all dealership policies, safety standards, and Harley-Davidson brand guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing automotive/motorcycle role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of motorcycle mechanics or willingness to learn
• Comfort using dealership management systems (DMS) and computer software
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Passion for motorcycles and the Harley-Davidson brand is a plus
PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the dealership for extended periods
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
• Must be able to work weekends and extended hours as needed
