CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Administers prescribed exercise interventions in accordance with the physical therapists' plan of care and carry out functional reeducation tasks in accordance with the physical therapists prescribed plan of care.
- Monitor the patient’s response to prescribed physical therapy interventions.
- Communicate patient’s progress in therapy through their documentation and during interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Immediately inform the therapist of all adverse events to care and/or acute changes in the patient’s medical status and assist in communication with the physical therapist when an evaluative/progress note is required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant Program
- Current Certified occupational Therapist Assistant license in Arizona
- Current CPR certification.
BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age specific/appropriate for patients served.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Appropriate interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with patients/families, and other health care professionals.
