Maintenance Technician at Keltec – Hudson, Ohio

Summary:

The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, PLCs, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Normal Working Hours and Conditions: Core business hours are generally 6:00 am – 3:30 pm. However, this position may require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on Company operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
• Work in varying temperatures and industrial environments
