Consumer Research Team Leader (2nd shift) - Richmond, Virginia

The Consumer Research (CR) Team Leader is responsible for the communication between the Consumer Research Coordinators and the Consumer Research Supervisor. The CR Team Leader assists the CR Supervisor in the development of staff, intra-department communications and operations, scheduling and customer service initiatives.
This position is full-time, and will work between the hours of 11:00am-9:30pm based on research needs.
Staff Management:
  • Responsible for staff management in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; development and coaching of employees
  • Responsible for execution of departmental objectives and adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Assist in departmental training to include; shadowing, document development etc.
  • Serve as the communication link between Consumer Research Coordinators and Consumer Research Supervisor
Research Operations:
  • Responsible for planning and executing all conduct functions and procedures with on-time performance and defect-free execution, which includes but is not limited to: Creating and loading projects into electronic data capture system; Development, review and execution of study plans; Ensure accurate and timely completion of all study related documentation; Accurate completion of Show Rate Reports; Ensure study facilities are organized according to study protocol; Serve as responsible associate for all panel research
  • Act as the first line of escalation for study participant issues or concerns
  • Ensure accurate and timely exporting of research data nightly
  • Responsible for tracking study participant behavioral issues and documentation
  • Responsible for stipend processing for all research conducted at the Consumer Opinion Center
  • Monitor panel attendance and dismiss study participants according to policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with client protocol, Standard Operating Procedures and federal regulations
  • Monitor assigned research rooms to ensure activities are in compliance with research protocol
  • Accurate and timely dispensing of research product to participants during all phases of research
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
Client Relations:
  • Serve as a client contact for panel operations, as requested by Consumer Research Supervisor
  • Participate in Consumer Opinion Center operations meetings and study initiation meetings as requested
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of positive study participant relations
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
Reporting:
  • Compile and report metrics to Consumer Research Supervisor as requested, including but not limited to: Census Reports; Panel Attendance Reports; Incident Reports
  • Ensure compliance and quality
  • Respond to Quality Assurance audits in a timely matter
Requirements:
  • AA degree in related field or 2-3 years related experience in client service
  • At least two years of progressive consumer research experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work without close supervision
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
  • Experience in conducting qualitative and/or quantitative research preferred
  • Ability to work in required work environment, including but not limited to exposure to second hand smoke from combustible cigarettes and vapors from electronic cigarettes
  • According to the Code of Virginia 18.2-371.2B, employees must be 21 years of age to work around tobacco products.
