This role is a senior-level HR specialist position focused on strengthening workplace fairness, compliance, and employee trust across a fast-scaling global organization. You will handle complex employee relations cases, ensuring sensitive workplace matters are addressed with sound judgment, discretion, and consistency. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding compliance with labor laws and internal policies while promoting a healthy and transparent work culture. You will partner closely with HR leaders and business stakeholders to manage investigations, audits, and policy enforcement at scale. Operating in a remote-first environment, you will contribute to building structured HR processes that support organizational growth and risk mitigation. This is a high-impact role suited for experienced professionals who can balance empathy with strong compliance discipline.
In this role, you will oversee end-to-end employee relations processes while ensuring compliance, fairness, and operational consistency across HR practices in a global work environment.
- Manage employee relations cases from intake to resolution, including grievances, conflicts, and policy violations
- Lead complex workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and misconduct
- Ensure strict adherence to labor laws, internal policies, and global compliance standards
- Design, implement, and manage HR audit programs to identify risks and ensure regulatory compliance
- Develop and enforce SOPs across employee relations processes to improve consistency and efficiency
- Partner with HR business leaders on performance improvement plans, corrective actions, and behavioral issues
- Support global mobility processes, including compliance and documentation for international transfers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure fair, timely, and well-documented case resolution
This role requires extensive experience in employee relations and HR compliance, with the ability to manage sensitive cases independently and influence stakeholders across levels. Strong judgment, communication skills, and policy expertise are essential.
- 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in employee relations and 3+ years in HRBP or generalist roles
- Strong expertise in handling complex employee relations cases and workplace investigations
- Proven experience managing HR audits and ensuring compliance with labor regulations
- Ability to design and implement SOPs and improve HR operational processes
- Experience supporting large employee populations (up to 2,000 employees or more)
- Strong understanding of labor laws, HR policies, and compliance frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
- High emotional maturity, integrity, and ability to manage sensitive workplace issues
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Relations, or related field (Master’s degree or certifications like SHRM/PHR preferred)
- 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension or conversion based on performance
