About This Position

Description:

The HR Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department by assisting with onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, HR data management, compliance, and general administrative support. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while delivering excellent service to employees and managers.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding

- Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate new hire setup.

- Conduct or support new hire orientations.

- Facilitate completion of new hire paperwork and ensure accurate HRIS entry.

- Partner with IT and managers to ensure a smooth first-day experience.

- Maintain onboarding checklists and ensure timely completion of all tasks.

Offboarding

- Coordinate employee offboarding processes, including termination paperwork and system access removal.

- Schedule and assist with exit interviews and documentation.

- Process final employee status changes in HRIS and maintain termination records.

- Ensure company property return and proper communication with IT, payroll, and managers.

- Support continuous improvement of offboarding procedures.

HR Administration

- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS with high accuracy.

- Process employee changes including promotions, pay adjustments, and status updates.

- Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.

- Assist in generating HR reports and dashboards as needed.

Employee Relations & Engagement

- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and direct them appropriately.

- Support employee engagement programs, events, and communication initiatives.

- Assist with updates to HR policies, procedures, and handbook content.

Compliance

- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.

- Support I-9 audit processes and retention requirements.

- Assist with scheduling training compliance.

General Support

- Manage HR calendars, logistics, and administrative tasks.

- Provide light payroll support as needed (e.g., timesheet follow-up, data audits).

- Participate in HR projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.

- 1
–3 years of HR support or administrative experience.

- Experience working with an HRIS is beneficial.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

- Discretion and professionalism with confidential information.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
