OT Security Engineer (Remote)

In this role, you will play a critical part in securing the technologies that oversee the organizations industrial environments. By designing and implementing security controls across various operational technology systems, you will help ensure that industrial processes remain safe and resilient. Partnering with engineering teams and IT security, your efforts will help protect against cyber threats and promote the modernization of OT environments, ultimately contributing to the safe operation of essential services.Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for OT/ICS environments, including SCADA, PLCs, and plant networks.
• Develop OT security architecture aligned with the Purdue Model and security standards.
• Support secure network segmentation between IT and OT, including firewalls and DMZs.
• Deploy and maintain OT monitoring tools to identify potential intrusions.
• Perform risk assessments on OT systems and prioritize vulnerabilities.
• Maintain accurate inventory of OT assets and assist in securing PL logic and configurations.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure OT environments meet safety and security requirements.

Requirements

• 3-7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, industrial control systems, or related technical fields.
• Hands-on experience with ICS/OT technologies such as SCADA systems and PLCs.
• Understanding of OT networking concepts like Modbus and DNP3.
• Familiarity with OT security frameworks such as ISA/IEC 62443.
• Experience with OT security platforms like Nozomi and Dragos.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in operational environments.
• Experience with segmentation and firewalls for OT networks.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols and vendor equipment.
• Experience with incident response in ICS environments.
• Ability to write or review PLC logic is a plus.
• Certifications such as GICSP, GRID, or CISSP are advantageous.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
