The mission of the Philanthropic Growth & Engagement (PG&E) Department is to advance Mercy Corps' mission by raising impactful and flexible fundswith a focus on growing unrestricted fundraisingfrom individuals, companies, and foundations, and elevating our global profile and influence. The Position

Were seeking a Project Manager to drive the successful planning and execution of cross-team marketing and fundraising campaigns across PG&E. This role is central to keeping complex, multi-channel initiatives moving forward in a fast-paced environment, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and aligned across teams.

The Project Manager will oversee day-to-day operations across the full lifecycle of fundraising initiativesfrom mass market campaigns to major givingpartnering closely with internal teams and external agencies to manage timelines, clarify deliverables, and coordinate approvals. They will also lead the development and maintenance of project management tools, workflows, and processes that improve visibility, collaboration, and alignment across the department.

By serving as a coordination hub for cross-functional teams, this role ensures fundraising and marketing efforts are executed with consistency, clarity, and excellence, while also supporting strategic philanthropic initiatives as needed.

Essential Responsibilities General Project Management
  • Design and implement project management processes, workflows, and RACI charts.
  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for Wrike usage and governance in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Understand the unique needs, timelines, and goals of different fundraising portfolios.
  • Translate strategy across Mass Market, Midlevel, and Major Giving without losing nuance.
  • Ensure coordination and alignment across teams to avoid duplicative work or conflicting donor touchpoints.
  • Helps create shared visibility into activities, calendars, and priorities across fundraising teams.
  • Identify opportunities for synergy and cross-team collaboration in supporter journeys.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks, risks, or capacity constraints and recommend solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Facilitate clear communication across teams, ensuring decision points, timelines, and responsibilities are well understood.
  • Lead strategic projects and key initiatives across the department as needed.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and executed with excellence.
Mass Market Support
  • Support mass market, digital, and relationship-based fundraising teams as they execute campaigns and appeals.
  • Drive campaign execution across online and offline channels, partnering with internal teams and agencies to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
  • Develop and manage timelines, action plans, and documentation; coordinate deliverables to meet tight deadlines.
  • Contribute to achieving annual revenue and fundraising goals strong campaign delivery and project coordination.
  • Support the approvals process for all campaign assets and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Major Giving, Midlevel, and Corporate fundraising teams to ensure campaigns are aligned, complementary, and donor-focused.
  • Monitor and report campaign status using Wrike to ensure transparency and alignment across teams.

Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and development work. Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills

Bachelors degree preferred.

Marketing and/or fundraising experience required.

4+ years of project management experience, including planning, documentation, and close-out.

4+ years using project management platforms; Wrike experience a plus.

Proven ability to build strong cross-team relationships and foster collaboration.

Experience creating, managing, and optimizing processes.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.

Living Conditions / Environmental Conditions

This position is open to remote hires. Some evening and weekend work may be required during emergency responses. Mercy Corps team members represent the organization at all timesduring work, travel, and deploymentsand are expected to act professionally, respect local laws and customs, and adhere to Mercy Corps policies, procedures, and values.
