Assistant Stage Manager - Trees at University of Pittsburgh – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
About This Position
The Department of Theatre Arts is seeking an Assistant Stage Manager for their production of The Trees by Agnes Borinsky. The ASM will work alongside the student Stage Manager and under the direction of a graduate student Director. Primary responsibilities include: support the Stage Manager in day-to-day organization of rehearsals and performances, help set up and maintain rehearsal and performance spaces, track blocking, props, and backstage movements as assigned, assist with props preset, scene shifts, and backstage cues, help run backstage and oversee crew during performances, and other relevant tasks as needed.
Must be available for the following dates:
Rehearsal Dates: January 12- February 19, 2026 (Sundays (daytime) through Thursdays (evenings))
Tech Dates: February 14- 19, 2026
Performance Dates: February 20- March 1, 2026 (Dark days: February 23-24)
*Please note: This role is non-Union.
This is a role that requires strong organization and communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and the enthusiasm to problem solve. Prior experience in Stage Management is preferred.
