About This Position
At Gateway Autism Therapies and Education, we are passionate about supporting children and families affected by autism and developmental differences. Our interdisciplinary team is committed to early identification, comprehensive evaluation, and evidence-based care. We are currently seeking a Clinical Psychologist to lead diagnostic evaluations for children suspected of having autism throughout the state of Wyoming.
Position Overview:As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive, standardized psychological assessments for autism and other developmental disorders. You will collaborate with families and regional psychologists to deliver accurate diagnoses, detailed reports, and clear feedback and recommendations. This role is ideal for a clinician with a strong background in child psychology, a passion for developmental work, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the evaluation process for children suspected of autism across Wyoming
Administer and interpret standardized assessments including (but not limited to):
ADOS-2, CARS-2, ASRS, BASC-3, Vineland-3, DAS-II, DP-4
(Training for these tools will be provided as needed)
Write comprehensive diagnostic evaluation reports, synthesizing test results and clinical observations
Present diagnostic findings and offer family-centered feedback and recommendations, in collaboration with regional psychologists
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with professional and organizational standards
Participate in a 12-month annual performance review process to support professional growth
Doctorate degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology
Licensed to practice psychology in the state of Wyoming
Demonstrated experience in psychological assessment of children, especially those with autism and other developmental differences
Strong background in developmental disorders and differential diagnosis
Excellent written communication and clinical documentation skills
High level of attention to detail and professionalism
Ability to build rapport with children and their families in a warm, compassionate manner
Familiarity with autism-specific tools such as ADOS-2 and CARS-2
Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary or diagnostic setting
Comfort with collaborative clinical work and providing feedback to families
