Intern Software Engineer (Data & Backend Systems)
About You:
We are looking for a highly motivated Intern - Software Engineer to join our backend engineering team working on large-scale healthcare data systems. This role involves solving real-world problems related to data migration, system reliability, and high-performance distributed systems.
As an intern, you will work on critical data workflows that impact patient safety and system performance, gaining hands-on experience with production-grade systems.

- Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) for data storage and retrieval
- Support the development of data validation and integrity checks for high-volume datasets
- Contribute to building and maintaining dual-write and synchronization systems
- Identify, debug, and resolve data inconsistencies across distributed systems
- Write efficient scripts/tools to process and validate millions of records under time constraints
- Collaborate with senior engineers to improve system reliability and performance
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and basic NoSQL concepts)
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Go)
- Basic understanding of data consistency, transactions, and distributed systems
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically under constraints
