TECHLITE is a specialized manufacturer of acoustic foam panels and engineered insulation systems, supporting architectural, industrial, and specialty applications where noise control, sound absorption, and material performance are critical.

We are seeking a Product Manager – Architectural Acoustics to lead the strategy, performance, and growth of our acoustic panel product lines. This role combines product ownership, technical understanding, and market engagement with a strong connection to manufacturing and customer application.

This is a hands-on role where success means improving product performance, expanding market applications, and driving profitable growth in a niche, specification-driven market.

What You’ll Own

Product Strategy & Market Focus

  • Develop and execute product strategies for acoustic foam panels and insulation systems across architectural and industrial markets
  • Identify growth opportunities based on acoustic performance needs, application gaps, and customer demand
  • Monitor trends in noise control, building acoustics, and material innovation
  • Support positioning of TECHLITE products within specification-driven environments

Acoustics & Application Expertise

  • Develop a strong understanding of:
    • Sound absorption (NRC)
    • Sound transmission (STC)
    • Acoustic materials and foam technologies
  • Translate customer requirements into practical, manufacturable acoustic solutions
  • Support internal teams and customers with product application guidance

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Sales, and Customer Support to align product capabilities with customer needs
  • Partner with manufacturing to ensure products are efficient to produce and scalable
  • Support technical discussions, proposals, and specification efforts
  • Contribute to marketing content that accurately reflects product performance and applications

Market & Customer Engagement

  • Engage with customers, architects, and industry partners to understand acoustic challenges and application needs
  • Support product positioning in architectural, commercial, and industrial environments
  • Represent TECHLITE at industry events, customer meetings, or trade shows as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–10 years of experience in:
    • Product Management
    • Technical Sales
    • Engineering
    • Or related roles in acoustics, insulation, building materials, or specialty manufacturing
  • Experience with acoustic materials, noise control, or architectural acoustics strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of engineered-to-order or customized product environments
  • Ability to connect technical performance with commercial outcomes
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communicator who can translate between technical and non-technical audiences

Schedule:

  • Full-Time
  • 5:00a – 3:30p (10-hour shift) Monday – Thursday; with Fri., Sat., Sun., off
  • In-office position - Tempe, AZ (near Priest and University)

While performing the duties of this job, the Product Manager - Architectural Acoustics will perform most of the work in a multi-occupied office environment, with face-to-face customer interactions, and some work is performed on the production floor, near vibrating loud equipment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. At times the employee may be exposed to airborne particulates, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations on the production floor. The noise level can be loud at times.

This role is partially sedentary; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a step ladder as necessary during their shift. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The position involves sitting, talking, hearing, climbing stairs, using the elevator, and walking throughout the 8-10-hour shift. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate tools, drafting instruments, computers, printers, and various equipment.
