About This Position

Senior Technical Product Manager I (Search Platform)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager I (Search Platform) in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the architecture and strategic direction of a critical search platform used by internal teams to deliver high-impact digital experiences. You will define long-term infrastructure vision, build and maintain a robust roadmap, and ensure that search systems scale efficiently while enabling domain teams to innovate quickly. The position combines strategic thinking with hands-on influence over platform design, data pipelines, APIs, and developer workflows. Success in this role requires balancing reliability, performance, and rapid delivery, while leveraging AI and automation to maximize team efficiency. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and internal stakeholders to deliver search solutions that directly enhance business-critical workflows. This is a high-impact, fast-paced environment focused on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for search infrastructure, balancing reliability with new capabilities
  • Drive decisions on internal builds, index design, data pipelines, search APIs, and observability to optimize platform performance
  • Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to define technical contracts, schemas, and standards
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate product delivery and improve team efficiency using AI tools and automation
  • Analyze platform health, performance metrics, and search quality, proactively mitigating risks and improving operations
  • Architect abstraction layers to enable domain teams to build search experiences without deep infrastructure expertise
  • Streamline workflows for schema changes, re-indexing, and other operational tasks to minimize friction
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of product management experience with platform, infrastructure, or developer-focused products
  • Advanced experience managing search systems (e.g., OpenSearch, Elasticsearch) and defining internal APIs or SDKs
  • Strong analytical skills to define, monitor, and report platform health and performance metrics
  • SaaS product experience supporting business-critical workflows with search as a core user action
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools and automation to improve team output
  • Experience with hybrid search architectures, AI/LLM-based retrieval, or semantic search is highly desirable
  • Clear communication skills to make complex infrastructure tradeoffs understandable to stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset while capable of resolving tactical infrastructure challenges

Nice to have:

  • Applied ML or LLM integration experience in production environments
  • Deep focus on connecting platform investments to end-user workflows and outcomes
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $119,000–$149,000, based on experience and location
  • Participation in equity plan
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision, disability)
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Flexible paid time off and parental leave
  • Tech reimbursement allowance
  • Opportunity to work remotely with a collaborative, high-impact team environment
