Location: Remote - US; travel to Pax River, MD / Indian Head, MD and the Pentagon as Required
Clearance: DoD/DoW TS/SCI Required; will consider Top Secret on case by case basis

Job Description:
We are seeking a battle‑tested Navy executive leader to own, grow, and scale our Navy portfolio. This role is designed for a senior professional with deep Navy experience, trusted relationships across the Navy ecosystem, and a proven ability to turn access into growth.

This leader will sit at the intersection of strategy, mission delivery, and business expansion / development serving as:

  • Director of Navy portfolio growth
  • Business Development / Growth Leadership
  • Program Manager for a flagship Navy Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAE) initiative


This is a high‑impact, high‑visibility leadership role with direct influence on company growth, client trust, and mission outcomes. This is not a caretaker position. This is a build-and-lead role for someone who wants to shape strategy, drive growth, and leave a lasting impact on Navy mission success. You will have executive visibility, real authority, and the opportunity to scale a portfolio with momentum.


Key Responsibilities

Navy Portfolio Leadership & Growth

  • Own the overall Navy portfolio strategy, growth plan, and execution.
  • Ability to be the BD / Account Executive for the Navy Portfolio with your vast Navy Network; leaning on your previous connections and leadership experience from past engagements.
  • Leverage established Navy relationships (uniformed, civilian, and industry) to expand footprint, influence, and revenue.
  • Serve as a trusted executive partner to Navy clients, anticipating needs and positioning the company ahead of demand.
  • Identify, shape, and support new business opportunities, including capture strategy, client engagement, and solution framing.
  • Represent the company with credibility and authority across Navy commands and partner organizations.

Program Management & Delivery

  • Serve as Program Manager for a high-visibility Navy PAE initiative
  • Ensure excellence across performance, schedule, budget, and delivery.
  • Lead senior program teams and ensure outcomes align with Navy mission priorities.
  • Mentor, guide and advise Engagement Leads, Project Managers and supporting staff to delivery world class delivery with the support of ASI’s Executive Team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current and Active DOD/DOW TS/SCI, willing to consider Top Secret clearances on case by case basis. “SCI eligibility” required.
  • Prior Navy experience (uniformed or civilian) with deep understanding of Navy culture, decision-making, and mission execution.
  • Strong, current Navy relationships with the credibility to operate at senior officers and executives.
  • Ability to gain trust immediately with your knowledge and reputation gained throughout your civilian and/or military career as trusted leader.
  • Prior experience as a Business Development or Account Executive within the Navy, NAVIR community.
    • Foundational – Expert knowledge of the Navy Acquisition and Procurement process both traditional (FAR based) and non-traditional (OT / OTA’s) mechanisms.
  • High business acumen and understanding of the complexities the comes with the Warfighter (i.e. Navy Munitions or related) procurement and R&D process.
  • Natural passion and drive to deliver real value to the Navy Warfighter programs and brings a new, inspiring energy to help facilitate and modernize the federal acquisition process via the PAE.
  • Proven experience leading large, complex Navy programs as a Program Manager or senior executive,
  • Interest in close engagement and collaboration with our AI and Data Practice teams.
  • Track record of driving growth within Navy or DoD environments; High Win-Rate
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Willingness to travel to Pax River, MD

Preferred Qualifications

  • Former senior Navy officer (O-5/6 levels) or Senior Navy civilian (Growth Focused).
  • Located in or around Pentagon, Indian Head, MD, or Pax River, MD area or deep familiarity and experience with that customer base (boots on the ground / walked the halls)
  • Experience leading transformation or enterprise strategy efforts
  • Equal strength as strategist and operator

Work Location & Schedule

  • Primary Location: Remote, DC Metro Area highly Preferred; travel to Pentagon, Indian Head, Pax River as required
  • Onsite Requirements: Travel to Pentagon, Indian Head, Pax River, MD as required. Anticipate 10% travel throughout the year
  • Desired Start Date: ASAP
