Responsibilities

The Senior Director, Team Operations, Chief of Staff serves as a strategic operations partner to the Global Head of Marketing & Communications and as the connective tissue across the global platform.

This role ensures the organization runs with clarity, rhythm, and discipline. It translates leadership priorities into coordinated action, establishes predictable management cadences, and strengthens alignment across teams and regions. By managing leadership forums, governance rhythms, executive coordination, and information flow, the Chief of Staff creates the structure that allows senior leaders to focus on forward-looking priorities.

At its core, this role builds and maintains the operating system of the organization. It ensures that decisions are documented, commitments are tracked, milestones are sequenced thoughtfully, and communication flows efficiently. In a complex, global environment, this operations leader enables focus, reduces friction, and reinforces accountability across the platform.

  • Design and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual leadership rhythms
  • Build structured agendas and ensure timely pre-read distribution
  • Track action items, decisions, and follow-ups across leadership forums
  • Support town halls, offsites, leadership summits, and global team meetings
  • Maintain discipline in planning cycles and executive preparation
  • Ensure transformation and cross-functional workstreams are appropriately calendared, documented, and tracked within the broader leadership operating system.
  • Serve as central coordination point for senior leadership interactions
  • Partner closely with Executive Assistants across regions and functions
  • Oversee EA alignment within Global Marketing & Communications
  • Support orchestration of high-touch, cross-functional initiatives
  • Represent the Global Head in meetings when appropriate to ensure continuity and clarity
  • Own annual calendar planning and sequencing of major milestones
  • Coordinate global team travel planning and executive logistics oversight
  • Ensure alignment across N-2 and N-3 leaders
  • Drive clarity in information distribution, documentation, and decision rights
  • Reduce scheduling conflicts and operational inefficiencies across regions
  • Oversee knowledge management and documentation systems
  • Maintain organized filing structures and shared resources
  • Support strategic initiatives from an operational execution lens
  • Lead defined, high-priority cross-functional projects as delegated
  • Coordinate compilation of monthly and quarterly updates
  • Support executive reporting preparation in partnership with Performance & Enterprise Enablement
  • Ensure deadlines, deliverables, and executive inputs are met consistently


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field from an accredited institution required
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • 10+ years in operations, strategy, program management, consulting, or Chief of Staff–type roles

  • Experience designing and running management systems (planning cycles, operating reviews, governance forums)

  • Demonstrated strength in technology, AI, and operational workflow key

  • Experience servicing a global ream or global leader across time zones

  • Experience in marketing & communications industry a plus

  • Experience in in-house marketing & communications teams and/or agency experience a plus

  • Strong executive communication and narrative development skills

  • Ability to coordinate across complex, matrixed global environments

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority

  • High discretion, sound judgment, and comfort operating in ambiguity

  • Compensation: $207,000 - $307,000 + Bonus; Houston - based on experience
