About This Position
WAND-TV is looking for a friendly, organized, and proactive professional to serve as the welcoming face of our station while helping keep daily office operations running smoothly.
This role sits at the center of our station - interacting daily with our sales team, newsroom, leadership, and community partners. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is interested in building a long-term career in media.
What You Will Do- Professionally answer and route incoming calls, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for callers
- Greet and assist visitors, creating a strong and welcoming first impression of the station
- Communicate clearly and confidently with internal teams, including sales and leadership
- Take and relay messages with accuracy, urgency, and attention to detail
- Assist with reconciling station logs
- Provide general information to callers and guests (directions, station info, website)
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including express shipments (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
- Maintain office supply inventory, including ordering and restocking
- Support administrative tasks such as copying, filing, and document preparation
- Maintain reliable, punctual daily attendance
- Strong communication skills - you enjoy talking with people and making connections
- A polished, professional presence and customer-first mindset
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence interacting with a variety of personalities, both in person and over the phone
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new aspects of the business

- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in a customer-facing, administrative, or office environment preferred
- Experience with Microsoft applications.
- Organizational and telephone (customer service) skills. Typing skills.
