EnSafe is currently seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Project Manager Engineer/Geologist to join our team of professionals in our Atlanta, GA office. This role offers varied daily work. As a Senior Environmental Project Manager, you will lead with 7-15 years of progressive, hands-on experience in environmental investigations, assessments, and remediation projects, engaging with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams. In this position, you will:
- Leading and supporting remedial and process engineering projects and teams to fill data gaps and design, construct, operate, and optimize systems.
- Planning and performing site assessments, technology feasibility evaluations, pilot/bench testing, construction oversight, and remedy O&M.
- Preparing, reviewing, and mentoring staff in the development of design basis documents, remedial alternatives analyses, and design plans, specifications, and reports.
- Communicating with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
- Providing project and client management for sites ranging from small dry cleaners and gas stations to complex industrial and federal facilities.
- Preparing proposals, cost estimates, and long-term remediation cost projections.
- Providing technical leadership and assistance to teams across multiple offices, including problem-solving, mentoring, and participation in corporate technical initiatives.
- Compiling and interpreting investigation data and preparing/reviewing technical reports.
- Project sites may include Superfund sites, large and complex federal facilities, or military installations, and commercial or industrial properties.
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering; Geology or Hydrogeology; Geoscience-related degree.
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited college in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- 7-15 years of relevant experience required.
- P.E. required.
- Strong knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, and other environmental regulations, legislation, and SOPs.
- Hands-on experience with remediation technologies and O&M for soil, groundwater, stormwater, industrial wastewater, and air for a wide range of contaminants.
- Experience with remedial system instrumentation and controls, as well as remote telemetry, is a plus.
- Strong consulting, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel overnight at least 20% to meet needs and objectives.
