Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of an Account Manager:

  1. Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and key channel partners.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers and channel sales, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct regular site visits, safety audits, and consultations to understand evolving customer needs.
  • Sales & Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the PPE market.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements while ensuring compliance with business direction.
  • Understanding Customer Safety Needs
  • Analyze customer workplaces to recommend the right PPE solutions based on hazards, compliance regulations, and industry standards.
  • Educate customers on PPE best practices, ensuring proper usage and risk mitigation.
  • Offer customized PPE solutions to enhance worker safety and operational efficiency.
  • Market & Industry Insights
  • Stay updated on safety regulations, industry safety requirements, and market trends.
  • Provide customers with insights on the latest PPE innovations and compliance updates.
  • Gather feedback from customers to help improve product offerings and sales strategies.
  • After-Sales Support & Service
  • Ensure proper delivery, training, and implementation of PPE solutions.
  • Address customer concerns, warranty claims, and product issues efficiently.
  • Work with internal teams (supply chain, technical support) to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams
  • Coordinate with BDM, Marketing, and Channel teams to align on customer needs.
  • Share customer feedback to improve product quality and service offerings.
  • Assist in training distributors and partners to effectively promote PPE products.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting
  • Track sales performance, account growth, and PPE product demand in the territory.
  • Provide sales forecasts and market insights to management.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize sales efforts and expand market share.


  • Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred from engineering background.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of sales or account management experience, preferably in PPE, industrial safety, or B2B sales within Sumatra regions.
  • Experience managing key accounts and developing long-term customer relationships in Sumatra Industrial customers.
  • Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of PPE products, workplace safety regulations, and industry compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored PPE solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt to local business cultures and customer needs.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to drive business growth in Sumatera.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, capable of working independently in the field.
  • Proficiency in using of Sales Force and Office 365.
  • Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel extensively within Territory of Sumatra to visit customers and conduct site assessments.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams based in other region / segment.
  • Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and post-sales support tailored to local market demands.
