- Partner with HR leadership on job evaluations, pay leveling, and overall compensation planning.
- Lead and support annual compensation cycles, including merit increases, promotions, and other pay programs, ensuring alignment with budgets and organizational objectives.
- Conduct market pricing reviews and maintain competitive salary structures for the relevant labor market.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on pay decisions, job leveling, and internal equity matters.
- Design, maintain, and enhance job architecture, salary structures, and leveling frameworks, including evaluating new roles, analyzing salary survey data, recommending pay ranges, and ensuring consistency across departments.
- Develop, implement, and manage bonus and incentive plans aligned with company or project performance.
- Analyze compensation trends, pay equity, and compression risks; provide recommendations and decision support.
- Support organizational change initiatives by providing data-driven insights and communications related to compensation.
- Monitor federal and state compensation regulations to ensure compliance with pay transparency, wage, and classification requirements.
- Lead or participate in special compensation projects and continuous process improvements.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation, total rewards, or related HR functions.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting, modeling, and presenting complex compensation data.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, data modeling, and database management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to business leaders and stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and sensitive compensation matters with professionalism.
- Familiarity with compensation planning tools and market pricing platforms (e.g., AON, CompAnalyst, ERI).
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., UltiPro/UKG, Vista/Viewpoint) and knowledge of prevailing wage and Davis Bacon projects.
- Preferred: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or equivalent certification, valid Texas Drivers License.
