INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE at Smith Agency – Aurora, Colorado

We are a Colorado Facility School seeking outstanding, caring, and dedicated full-time special education paraprofessionals to service our students with Multiple Disabilities. Our educational program serves students from over eighteen school districts in the Denver Metro Area and Front Range. Paraprofessional candidates must have experience or the flexibility to work with a diverse student population. Our team works collaboratively to promote an organizational culture of family, innovation, compassion, flexibility, and personal and professional growth.

Position Requirements:

• Punctuality and reliability
• Passion for students with multiple disabilities
• Ability to work as a contributing and collaborative team member
• Behavior intervention and classroom management skills
• Communication with all members of student’s IEP team
• Recognize each student by ability, not disability

Pay: $19-$22/hour based on education and experience.

Our school year includes an Extended School Year Program.

This position has 54 days paid off for school breaks and holidays!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A commitment to working with young people with developmental disabilities
• Experience working with DD population and in school settings preferred
• A High School diploma or Equivalent
• Maturity and reliability
• Good driving record and valid Colorado Driver’s license
