Compensation: $34.70 hourly

Job Duties

Performs routine, emergency and preventive maintenance work on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities.

Assist in maintaining plant security.

Maintain equipment and tools.
Dispose of waste materials, empty containers, and piece drums accordingly
Calibrate equipment as needed/required.
Keep work areas clean.
Can perform up to 60% of procedures within department.

Education Required
Minimum High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read and write and do simple arithmetic.
Working knowledge of mechanics
Ability to read blueprints and sketches
Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring, and general mechanics

Experience and Special Aptitudes Required
Must be familiar and thoroughly experienced in all facets of maintenance: mechanical 1, electrical 2, building 3 and vehicle repaires 4.

1Mechanical Pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal), drives (gearbox, belt, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-electric, motors-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps and dies.
2Electrical High voltage 460-volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage (120V power and control wiring), AC and DC systems. Computer controlled systems.
3Utilities Piping (water, air and steam) Boilers - understand Steam condensate system - tracing, coils, traps and pumps. Air Compressor system - including filters, regulators, dryers and lubricators. HVAC - air handling, blowers, dust collectors.
4Vehicles Lift trucks - electric EE rated, battery and hydraulics.
