ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
BMG has an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Shift Crew Leader in our Beaverton, MI location. To provide direct and technical supervision within their shift to produce quality products in the most efficient and effective means to satisfy the requirement. The Crew Leader is responsible for scheduling, personal resource management, leadership, supervision & communication for their shift
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED; Two-year degree in work activity is preferred
- Two – five years in related work activity
- Good interpersonal & leadership skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the direct personnel regarding their work output, attendance, ability, and other related employee matters.
- Manage and assign people and equipment to meet scheduled deliveries
- Maintain adequately trained personnel to meet scheduled workloads. Recommend and participate in the hire and layoff procedures of employees, and discipline of unsatisfactory employees
- Evaluate personnel for appropriate pay increases, promotions, and training requirements
- Responsible for the proper operation of all equipment on their shift to sustain efficient and effective manufacture
- Inform manager on all matters that might affect the successful operation of their shift or other areas of the company
- Inform manager of situations or conditions which would cause their shift to miss scheduled deliveries, quality, or cost objectives after taking all actions required within their own area of responsibility and control
- Recommend/Advise appropriate departments and manager on more efficient methods of accomplishing the tasks. Participate in the plan and implementation of the methods
- Participate in the definition of manufacturing procedures and accurate routing standards
- Attend and participate in scheduled meetings
- Ensure that all required documentation is timely and properly completed
- Manage continuous improvements within their shift as crew leader
ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift, push, and pull up 35 to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Walk for extended periods of time
- May work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time, perform sustained manual activities at low to moderate levels of exertion
- Must be able to access and navigate within each department at the organization’s facilities (i.e. climb stairs, ladders, etc.)
