Vortex Companies is seeking an experienced and driven Supervisor to lead storm and sanitary sewer rehabilitation crews. This role is responsible for overseeing all field operations related to cured-in-place pipe installation using steam and water cure methods. The Supervisor ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to Vortex quality standards while maintaining strong communication with project management and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all aspects of CIPP rehabilitation field operations
- Typically, this role has mandatory travel expectations within the designated region with a minimum of 90% overnight travel expected for this position.
- Supervise, train, and mentor field crews to ensure high performance and safety compliance
- Oversee installation of CIPP liners in storm and sanitary sewer systems using steam and water cure processes
- Coordinate daily jobsite activities, equipment, materials, and crew assignments
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, DOT requirements, and company policies
- Communicate daily with the Project Manager regarding progress, performance, schedule updates, and any field issues
- Ensure quality control standards are met and documentation is completed accurately
- Balance operational demands, business priorities, and customer expectations
- Work overtime as necessary to meet project deadlines
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman and or Superintendent in CIPP or related pipelining rehabilitation work
- Strong understanding of the trenchless rehabilitation industry
- Proven leadership experience managing field crews in sewer rehabilitation environments
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and maintain strong customer relationships
- Valid driver’s license required. CDL preferred
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening, DOT physical, and driver’s license review for the past 5 years with no suspensions or major violations
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 50 pounds or more
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds or more
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work vary, typically 10-day tours (Tuesday- following Thursday).
