This is a field-based scientific leadership role focused on advancing medical strategy and engagement within the rare disease space. You will act as a key scientific partner to healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and research networks, helping to shape understanding and awareness of complex metabolic and genetic disorders. Working at the intersection of science, clinical development, and market access, you will contribute directly to improving patient identification and treatment pathways. The role requires strong scientific credibility and the ability to translate complex clinical data into meaningful insights for external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional medical and commercial teams to support both marketed products and pipeline programs. This is a highly impactful position for a medical professional who thrives in external scientific engagement and strategic influence.
- Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and diagnostic networks to support disease awareness and patient identification.
- Act as a trusted medical partner by providing balanced scientific exchange and supporting investigator-initiated research activities.
- Gather and communicate actionable clinical and scientific insights to inform internal strategy and decision-making.
- Leverage deep expertise in rare diseases, particularly metabolic and genetic disorders, to guide medical engagement and education initiatives.
- Contribute scientific input to market access, reimbursement, and pricing discussions.
- Develop and execute territory medical plans aligned with regional and national medical strategies.
- Collaborate with clinical operations teams to support trial site identification, patient recruitment, and investigator engagement.
- Deliver scientific presentations and medical education across healthcare settings and congresses.
- Represent the organization at scientific meetings, advisory boards, and external symposia.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of medical and scientific information to stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in a clinical or scientific discipline (MD, PhD, or PharmD) required.
- 3–5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Strong experience in rare diseases is highly preferred, particularly in metabolic or genetic disorders.
- Proven ability to present complex clinical and scientific information clearly and effectively.
- Solid understanding of the French healthcare system and patient care pathways.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with high scientific credibility.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage a field-based schedule.
- Highly motivated, resilient, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50–60%, including overnight travel as required.
