Class A Flat Bed Truck Driver
Title: Class A Flat Bed Truck Driver (M-F Local Daytime 40 hours +)

Work-site Location: Midlothian, TX
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Shift: 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Day Shift Only)
Job Classification: Full-time Hourly Employee
Base Compensation: $26.00 / hour
Overtime: Paid at Time and a Half

Reports To: Utility Fleet Operations Supervisor
Background: Criminal Background, Drug and Motor Vehicle Records Check
- Local Daytime Routes Only – Home Every Night
- Need to be flexible in terms of hours and days scheduled (potential for overtime).
- The schedule is typically around 5 a.m. to about 2 p.m.
- Average Weekly Hours: 45 - 48 hours
- This full-time, permanent position supports one of H5 Fleet Service’s/Logisticorp’s
local Texas utility customers
- DOES NOT require over the road travel
Position Overview
The CDL Driver is responsible for the timely delivery of various items of varying size and weight between various customer locations. This position requires that the person be physically fit and have at least a cursory knowledge of the freight shipping business. In this position, the person will be required to skillfully manage the operation of a tractor, flatbed trailer, and moffett on heavily congested highways and in tight spaces. This position must work closely with customers, other drivers, warehouse personnel, vendor employees, and other staff related to H5 Fleet Services contracts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck/tractor to ensure that it is in safe and reliable operating
? Reports maintenance issues to supervisors to ensure prompt repairs to equipment, and to maintain safe and reliable operational conditions.
? Local drivers must check in with dispatch and obtain instructions for the day.
? Timely pick-up, loading, securing, and unloading of scheduled and unscheduled freight aboard assigned vehicle. Must load and unload at various customer sites.
? Piece count and/or verify loads, properly handle manifests/BOLs, and be responsible for maintaining prompt submission of related paperwork. Driver is required to inspect all freight before on-boarding, note any damage and make necessary notifications, and properly secure all freight for transit.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
? Flat Bed Trailer Experience
? Must have Class A Commercial Driver’s license
? Must have 3 years verifiable driving history and successfully pass MVR check
? Must have BASIC mechanical and driver troubleshooting knowledge and skills, e.g., tire changes, bad weather experience, basic problem-solving, etc.
? Must maintain clean driving record as required, and be insurable
? Must pass DOT physical, Drug Test, Background Check, Pre-Employment Test (if applicable) and pass security screening as required
