This leadership role focuses on strengthening and expanding a growing Customer Insights and Market Research capability within a consulting-driven environment. The Director - Market Research will lead complex research engagements from initial problem framing through advanced analysis and executive-level presentation of insights. Combining methodological expertise with strategic thinking, this role translates complex data into actionable recommendations that support business decisions. You will collaborate closely with consulting teams, contribute to business development initiatives, and help shape innovative research methodologies and tools. The position also involves mentoring teams, ensuring methodological rigor, and driving the adoption of advanced analytics and AI-enabled research practices. Ideal candidates bring deep expertise in quantitative and qualitative research combined with strong client-facing communication skills.
Lead end-to-end market research engagements including study design, data collection, advanced analysis, synthesis, and executive presentation of findings.
Design and execute advanced quantitative research methodologies such as conjoint analysis, segmentation, pricing studies, and market sizing.
Apply qualitative and mixed-method research approaches to deepen insights and enhance decision-making.
Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations aligned with client business objectives.
Serve as a methodological authority, ensuring research quality, rigor, and consistency across engagements.
Evaluate and implement AI-enabled tools and analytics workflows to improve research efficiency and insight generation.
Support business development by contributing to proposals, research methodologies, and client scoping discussions.
Mentor team members and deliver training, playbooks, and guidance to elevate research capabilities across the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Advanced degree in market research, analytics, business, or a related discipline preferred.
8+ years of experience in market research, customer insights, analytics, or consulting environments.
Deep expertise in quantitative research methodologies, particularly conjoint analysis, segmentation, and pricing optimization.
Strong knowledge of qualitative and mixed-method research approaches.
Demonstrated ability to independently conduct complex analyses and translate results into strategic recommendations.
Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills with strong executive presence.
Experience in consulting or research-driven advisory environments preferred.
Familiarity with tools such as Qualtrics, Sawtooth, SPSS, R, Python, Tableau, MarketSight, and AI-enabled research platforms is advantageous.
Ability to operate in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
