Job Overview
Company: Montgomery Electric, Inc. (MEI).
Salary/Pay Rate: $95,000 to $115,000 per year.
Location: Colorado (Weekly jobsite visits required).
Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Colorado State Journeyman or Master Electrician License, Valid Driver's License.
The Opportunity You will serve as the primary leader for commercial projects from award to final closeout, ensuring every installation exceeds National Electrical Code standards. This role empowers you to manage high-stakes project logistics while mentoring superintendents and maintaining elite client relationships. You will have the autonomy to drive strategy on projects ranging from $50K to $10M within a culture that values professional growth.
How You Will Make an Impact
Execute comprehensive project strategy plans while holding project teams accountable for budget and schedule milestones.
Coordinate material procurement and initial buy-outs for critical large-scale items like switchgear and fire alarm systems.
Direct monthly forecasting and the construction of detailed schedules of values to maintain financial health.
Supervise on-site project meetings with superintendents to resolve technical hurdles and ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
Evaluate installation quality through regular site inspections to ensure work meets MEIs rigorous safety and excellence standards.
Manage all change order pricing to protect project margins and scope integrity.
Collaborate with field leadership to implement prefabrication strategies that increase efficiency and reduce on-site waste.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience serving as a Project Superintendent within the commercial electrical field.
Proven ability to manage a diverse project portfolio with values ranging from $50,000 to $10,000,000.
Expert-level knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and Fire Alarm codes.
High school diploma or GED and a valid, current driver's license with reliable transportation.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Demonstrated success in maintaining gross margins at or above specified management targets.
Strong interpersonal skills adapted for high-pressure, fast-paced commercial construction environments.
Experience in recruiting and motivating highly skilled tradesmen to join expanding project teams.
