You will take ownership of the entire engineering support ecosystem, from inventory management and vendor partnerships to preventative maintenance and team development, always acting with our 'End of the Line' philosophy to ensure every guest and owner concern is met with a solution.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all engineering inventory and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Perform regular and systematic inventory checks and audits.
- Assist in developing and improving inventory tracking and storage systems to ensure organization and accountability.
- Keep the Engineering Manager informed of current inventory levels using the company’s inventory management system.
- Research, obtain quotes, and prepare cost comparisons for parts and supplies to ensure the lowest pricing.
- Establish, maintain, and secure reliable relationships with parts and supply vendors.
- Act as the primary liaison between the engineering department and all parts/supply vendors.
- Place all orders for necessary parts, equipment, and supplies.
- Verify deliveries, ensuring package contents are checked, disseminated, and organized appropriately.
- Assist the Engineering Manager with all aspects of staff management, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
- Provide guidance, support, and coaching to Engineering Technicians, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Delegate daily work tasks and projects to Technicians based on their skill levels.
- Conduct regular quality control checks on completed work to ensure productivity and adherence to standards.
- Train staff on engineering office software, inventory procedures, and customer service protocols.
- Assist with staff evaluations, coaching meetings, and establishing performance goals.
- Maintain accurate staff performance records, including attendance and tardiness.
- Assist in setting up and managing the preventative maintenance schedule within the company software.
- Act as the "Manager on Duty" in the absence of the Engineering Manager.
- Help monitor department expenses, review and code invoices for accuracy using company software.
- Assist with monthly financials, production cost analyses, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Complete administrative duties such as updating job descriptions, coordinating time-off requests, and processing HR forms.
- Ensure the shop, storage areas, and closets are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Act as an escalation point for guest or owner requests and complaints that staff are unable to resolve.
- Handle all situations with empathy and a focus on guest satisfaction, striving to be the "End of the Line" for every request.
- Follow up on any unresolved situations to ensure they are fully closed out.
- Participate in boiler, elevator, fire, and insurance inspections as needed.
- Be a first responder to all fire alarm incidents, notifications, and building evacuations.
- Enforce safety standards, ensuring all staff members wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) following OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with employee accident and workers' compensation claims, completing all necessary documentation.
- Participate in the company’s Crisis Management Team (CMT) and Emergency Response plan.
- Foster open communication and strong collaboration with other departments and managers.
- Communicate pertinent company information, policy changes, and safety updates to the engineering staff.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all email, voicemail, and radio correspondence.
- Uphold and enforce company Hospitality Standards, Core Standards, and policies.
- Attend, support, and help conduct company training sessions and department meetings.
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a combination of six months to one year of related experience and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum of one year of experience using the above-mentioned Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, scanner, phone, calculator).
- Ability to use a personal computer and mobile device to utilize company programs and accurately record time worked.
- Familiarity with navigating the internet and conducting online research.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Acceptable driving record as determined by the company.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and interpret the English language.
- Ability to read and interpret business correspondence, technical manuals, safety rules, and government regulations.
- Ability to write clear business correspondence, procedures, and reports.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, guests, owners, and vendors.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to make accurate calculations relating to area, dimensions, percentages, proportions, volume, and weight.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer workstation for more than 2/3 of the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to lift between 50 and over 100 pounds on rare occasions (under 1/3 of the time).
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive arm motions for up to 2/3 of the time.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, or balance on rare occasions.
- Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision required, as well as close visual acuity and depth perception.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Experience with HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems.
- Experience with mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Background in carpentry.
- Knowledge of pool and hot tub chemistry.
- Ability to obtain a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license within one year of accepting the position (this is a condition of employment, though the certification itself is obtained after hiring).
- Ability to type by touch.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management or inventory software.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively multitask and lead multiple projects and personalities.
- Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and anticipating needs.
- Experience developing and delivering training to staff.
