Accounting Associate at Hiffman National – Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois

What your day looks like.

• Prepare full financial packages for cash basis and accrual basis properties
• Calculates distributions and funding requests
• Prepare Monthly Distribution Calculations and Funding Requests
• Monitor Bank Accounts for Tenant ACH and Lockbox Receipts as well as other banking items, follow process’ and procedures for getting cash receipts recorded and posted in Yardi & MRI.
• Create/Update Accounting Property Information Sheets
• Update Tracking Schedules
• Review Billing Adjustments and Tenant Reconciliations
• Maintain lease changes in Yardi & MRI
• Calculate Monthly Management Fee Invoices
• Work with Auditors – Pulling info and communicating
• Cash Management (Example – Check cash for open payables)
• Communicate with Property Managers if funding is needed.
• Communicate with Property Managers with any Financial Statement type questions (accruals/reclasses)
• Process and record mortgages
