As VP, Controller, you will lead the accounting organization to ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance, while supporting strategic business objectives:
Establish and maintain robust accounting policies, processes, and internal controls that scale with rapid growth and IPO readiness.
Partner with executive leadership to shape financial strategy, anticipate regulatory requirements, and drive investor confidence.
Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end close.
Implement and optimize financial systems, automate workflows, and enhance reporting capabilities to support business scalability.
Prepare for IPO and complex transactions by managing SEC-compliant reporting, internal controls, audits, and acquisition-related accounting.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting team, promoting a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
Provide actionable financial insights and analytics to support strategic decision-making and proactive risk management.
Candidates should combine technical accounting expertise with executive leadership experience in high-growth or acquisitive organizations:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; Master’s degree preferred.
CPA designation (active or inactive) required.
12+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
Proven experience scaling accounting operations for rapid growth and preparing organizations for IPO.
Deep knowledge of GAAP, SEC compliance, SOX standards, and technical accounting for complex transactions (equity, stock-based compensation, M&A).
Proficiency in ERP and financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, NetSuite Planning & Budgeting, Salesforce) and advanced Excel skills.
Experience leveraging analytics and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) to optimize processes and provide insights.
Strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
