About This Position

Almac Group is currently seeking a Temperature Services Manager for our Durham, NC location.
The Manager of Temperature Services is responsible for the development and management of the Almac Temperature Service offerings and TempEZ™ software. They are also responsible for the management of the global Temperature Services Team. The Manager of Temperature Services is responsible for the commercialization and growth of the TempEZ software and Temperature Services. The Manager of Temperature Services sets the strategic direction and roadmap for TempEZ and the Temperature Service offerings. They are the Business Champion for TempEZ roadmap projects and key strategic temperature projects. Due to their extensive knowledge, they are an industry recognized Subject Matter Expert in temperature management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage and mentor the Temperature Services Group Manager who is responsible for the delivery of Temperature Services globally. Ensure the global team is delivering services with a high degree of quality
  • Develop commercial strategies to roll out new services to the market, onboard new customers and increase system usage for current customers. Set targets for key Temperature Services customers
  • Develop annual revenue targets per service area and execute strategies to meet targets. Ensure the department meets annual revenue and margin targets. Identify actions to improve profitability and examine areas of inefficiency or redundancy to reduce costs.
  • Develop marketing strategies and provide content for campaigns for new services and periodic market refreshes. Create marketing collateral; white papers, case studies, and promotional videos to be used across various channels (digital, print, events) to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Present at industry conferences to promote TempEZ and Temperature Services. Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of competitor offerings (e.g. monitor manufacturers, IRT vendors and sponsors).
  • Develop relationships with key IRT vendors and sponsors with their own IRTs to implement integrations with TempEZ.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and provide them with the tools, resources and training needed to sell the software and services.
  • Develop the TempEZ roadmap using market research and feedback from internal users and customers. Create strategic goals and identify new service opportunities from industry regulations, customer needs, and market trends. Ensure TempEZ remains market leading software and is differentiated from the competition.
  • Lead efforts for business readiness for new TempEZ releases to ensure the roll out is cohesive and effective. Ensure business is ready for go live (SOPs approved, training completed etc).
  • Ensure the effectiveness of department procedures through continuous assessment. Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Oversee quality events and review the departmental trend analysis. Ensure timely and accurate completion of investigations with correct root cause identification. Monitor IS tickets for prompt resolution and accurate root cause identification.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the following areas: pharmaceutical industry, clinical trial pack/label distribution, GMP/GDP/GCP, personnel management, developing business strategies and business to business customer service and project management
  • Working knowledge of the drug development process and clinical trials
Preferred Experience / Education:
  • Minimum of 1 year Managing professional/management staff
  • Minimum of 1 year making decisions on behalf of customers
